Becker Gaming students made a splash this summer!
This summer there have been some exciting developments for two of Becker College's own Game Design students!
Dave Santana, senior in the Game Design program, was featured in Worcester Magazine for his experience as a game student and his work with the Worcester E-Lounge.
And Jim Beals, a senior in Game Design, was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work at Blue Fang Games as an intern.

Introversion Software, creators of Darwinia, push boundaries again with Subversion
Precious few details about gameplay exist at this point, however, Introversion Software has announced a new title that may have flown under some radars. Subversion, their latest game in development, will use a new type of game engine that will procedurally generate content. Rather than store gigabytes of models, textures, and graphical content, the game will instead create these all on the fly based on a set of pre-determined rules. Read more here.
The Agency promises a new spin on MMO's, for Sony's PS3

The Agency is an upcoming first person shooter/MMO with a spy/espionage theme. Players can work as spies or mercenaries for Agencies around the world. A boldly different take on the MMO genre (typically the realm of hack n' slash fantasy type games), The Agency promises a "no waiting, play right now" format that will not require the typical MMO grinding and leveling. Could this usher in a new era of faster-paced MMO's?
